Exploring Womanhood Through “She…Her…Me…”
My latest series, "She...Her...Me…," is an exploration of the intricate layers of womanhood, a visual dialogue with the unseen barriers that shape our experiences. Through these works on paper, I sought to create a space for reflection on the multifaceted aspects of being a woman in today's society.
Using pencil, and occasionally accentuating certain elements with acrylic paint pen, I've created a collection of pieces that delve into the unspoken narratives of women's lives. These works are not meant to dictate a specific interpretation, but rather to invite viewers to engage with the themes and draw their own conclusions.
The simplicity of pencil on paper allows for a raw and honest portrayal of these internal landscapes, while the subtle use of color highlights the nuances of the unspoken messages. Each piece is a fragment of a larger conversation, a visual representation of the complex interplay between personal experience and societal influence.
Through "She...Her...Me," I aim to create a space for empathy and understanding, a moment for viewers to reflect on their own experiences and perceptions. It's an invitation to consider the narratives we create for ourselves and the narratives that are imposed upon us.
